How long will 33 bags last?
With an average consumption of around one bag per heating day, half a pallet will last well over a month in the depths of winter, and because hardwood burns more slowly, you can often stretch it out for a few extra days. If you only light the fire in the evenings, you can easily get two to three months‘ worth. Half a pallet provides around 2,100 to 2,400 kWh of heat, a useful benchmark for comparison with gas or electricity.
Heartwood without bark, with 80% hardwood
Agricon Comfort is a blended pellet, and that is a deliberate choice. The raw material is 100% pure heartwood without bark, comprising 80% hardwood and 20% softwood. Hardwood is denser and burns more slowly and evenly, whilst softwood ignites easily and keeps the flame lively. Together, they produce a gentle, steady glow with longer burning times than a pure softwood pellet.
As no bark is pressed into the product, the ash and dust content remains low, and no chemical additives or binders are used. The DINplus quality mark on the bag confirms that every batch meets these same requirements.
Delivery and location
Half a pallet weighs almost half a tonne and is delivered on a pallet. Make sure you have a flat, accessible area where the delivery can be placed, and sufficient space to carry the bags inside afterwards. If the pallet is to be left outside, cover it and raise it off the ground. The plastic film wrapped around the pallet is for transport purposes only; it is not intended to protect the contents from the rain for months on end.
