Description
Fire Sticks Pellets per full pallet: 65 bags of 15 kg each
This is the amount an average family needs to get through a heating season, and it is the best value way to buy pellets per bag. Fire Sticks Pellets are ENplus A1-certified wood pellets made from 100% pure softwood, compressed from fully debarked logs.
A full pallet consists of 65 15-kg bags, totalling 975 kg.
Why a full pallet offers the best value per bag
Pellets are compressed, stacked, wrapped in film and transported by the pallet. The less repacking and separate handling is required en route, the lower the cost per bag, and we pass that saving on to you. Moreover, those who stock up in the spring or summer usually get a better deal than those who only start looking in November: that’s when demand peaks and everyone is vying for the same stock at the same time.
How much is 975 kg in real terms?
At around one bag per heating day, 65 bags will see you through most of a normal winter. If you heat your home entirely with pellets in a well-insulated property, one pallet is often sufficient. In a larger or poorly insulated home, you can expect to use one and a half to two pallets per season. A full pallet provides roughly 4,500 to 4,900 kWh of heat, which allows you to compare the cost of pellets with your previous gas or heating oil bill.
A pallet without bark, and therefore without excess ash
What sets Fire Sticks apart is not what’s in the pellet, but what’s deliberately left out: the bark. The logs are completely debarked before being chipped and compressed. This is because the bark is the part of the tree that contains the most sand, minerals and impurities, and that is precisely the main source of ash and build-up in your fire pit.
The raw material is 100% pure softwood, mainly spruce, sourced from wood processing waste that would otherwise be discarded. No chemical additives, starch or binding agents are used: the pellets are held together by the lignin naturally present in the wood. The result is a clean, dry pellet that burns efficiently and leaves little residue.
Also for pellet boilers
Fire Sticks are not only suitable for pellet stoves, but also for pellet boilers and other pellet-fired heating systems. Particularly with a boiler that runs day and night, the low ash and dust content is doubly important: less build-up on the heat exchanger means more consistent efficiency throughout the season and less maintenance in between.
Delivery and unloading
The pallet arrives in one piece and weighs almost a tonne. Make sure there is a paved, accessible area where the delivery can be unloaded, as close as possible to where you want to stack the bags. A gravel driveway or soft verge makes it difficult for a pallet truck to manoeuvre. If you’d prefer to move the bags in two batches, leave the pallet covered and unload it in stages.
Store in a dry place, even after six months
Pellets are compressed wood and absorb moisture. Store them indoors, off the ground, in a well-ventilated area and away from damp walls or heat sources. A pallet that spends the summer in a dry garage will still be in perfect condition by November. A pallet that has been left outside under a tarpaulin often isn’t: condensation under the tarpaulin causes just as much damage as rain. For best performance, use the pellets within a year.
Would you prefer a smaller amount after all?
If you don’t have space for a full pallet, take a look at the Fire Sticks Pellets – half a pallet containing 33 bags. If you’d like to try this brand out in your own stove first, you can order a single Fire Sticks Pellets, 15 kg bag.
Why Fire Sticks Pellets
Consistency is key across an entire pallet. A log that maintains the same length, moisture content and density from the first to the sixty-fifth bag allows your stove to run on a single setting. With Fire Sticks, this is complemented by debarked log wood: a clean raw material ensures a clean burn, season after season.
ENplus A1 is not merely a marketing term, but a standard that is subject to monitoring: it sets limits on ash content, moisture content, density and the amount of fine dust, and it requires the manufacturer to ensure traceability. For you, this is the simplest guarantee that what you put into your stove is actually what is stated on the bag.
