Description

Agricon Comfort Pellets per full pallet: 65 bags of 14 kg each

This is the amount that will see an average family through a large part of the heating season, and it is the best value way to buy Agricon Comfort per bag. These are DINplus-certified pellets made from pure heartwood without bark, containing 80% hardwood for longer burning times and a steady glow.

A full pallet consists of 65 bags of 14 kg each, totalling 910 kg.

Why a full pallet offers the best value per bag

Pellets are compressed, stacked, wrapped in film and transported by the pallet. The less repacking and separate handling is required en route, the lower the cost per bag, and we pass that saving on to you. Moreover, those who stock up in the spring or summer usually get a better deal than those who only start looking in November: that’s when demand peaks and everyone is vying for the same stock at the same time.

How much is 910 kg in real terms?

At around one sack per heating day, 65 sacks will see you through most of a normal winter, and the slower burn of deciduous wood means you can stretch that out a little further. If you heat your home entirely with pellets in a well-insulated property, one pallet will go a long way. In a larger or poorly insulated property, you can expect to use one and a half to two pallets per season. A full pallet provides roughly 4,200 to 4,700 kWh of heat, which allows you to compare pellets with your previous gas or heating oil bill.

A pallet with long burning times

Agricon Comfort is a blended pellet, and that is a deliberate choice. The raw material is 100% pure heartwood without bark, comprising 80% hardwood and 20% softwood. Hardwood is denser and burns more slowly and evenly, whilst softwood ignites easily and keeps the flame lively. Together, they produce a gentle, steady glow with longer burning times than a pure softwood pellet.

As no bark is pressed into the product, the ash and dust content remains low, and no chemical additives or binders are used. The DINplus quality mark on the bag confirms that every batch meets these same requirements.

Delivery and unloading

The pallet is delivered as a single unit and weighs over 900 kg. Please ensure there is a paved, accessible area where the delivery can be unloaded, as close as possible to where you wish to stack the bags. A gravel driveway or a soft verge makes it difficult for a pallet truck to manoeuvre. If you prefer to move the bags in two batches, leave the pallet covered and unload it in stages.

Store in a dry place, even after six months

Pellets are compressed wood and absorb moisture. Store them indoors, off the ground and away from damp walls. A pallet that spends the summer in a dry garage will still be in perfect condition by November. A pallet that has been left outside under a tarpaulin often isn’t: condensation under the tarpaulin causes just as much damage as rain. Bags that feel swollen or clammy produce less heat and more ash.

Would you prefer a smaller amount after all?

If you don’t have space for a full pallet, take a look at the Agricon Comfort Pellets: half a pallet containing 33 bags. If you’d like to try this brand out in your own stove first, you can order a single Agricon Comfort Pellets, 14 kg bag.

Why Agricon Comfort Pellets?

When it comes to a full pallet, two things matter: consistency and burn time. The pellets, made from pure heartwood without bark, remain consistent from bag to bag, and the 80% hardwood content ensures that each bag burns more slowly than a pure softwood pellet. Less refilling, a more even flame and a heating system that is spared wear and tear: that is what this Comfort range is designed for.

In this regard, DINplus is, just like ENplus A1, not a marketing term but a standard that is subject to monitoring: it sets limits on ash content, moisture content, mechanical durability and the amount of fine dust, and it requires the manufacturer to ensure traceability. For you, this is the simplest guarantee that what you put into your stove is actually what is stated on the bag.
